Parkes Picnic Races president Fiona Glasheen has won the Best Dressed Lady in the local category at the Bedgerabong Picnic Races on Saturday.

It couldn't have come at a more fitting time for the Parkes Picnic Races committee, who also attended the day out at the Bedgerabong Racecourse, as they ramp-up planning for the Parkes races on the June long weekend.

The Parkes Picnic Races Committee and friends are keen supporters of the Bedgerabong Picnic Races.

In sharing their excitement for Fiona's win on social media, they too said they were super excited to announce they will be introducing a Best Styled Local in the Fashions on the Field at this year's Parkes Races.

The Parkes committee is calling on local businesses and supporters to be part of bringing the Parkes Picnic Races back to the "good old days" when it was the place to be and everyone came home to Parkes for the long weekend.

Kelly Spedding is the committee's sponsorship coordinator for 2026 and is keen to chat to local businesses about how they can get involved and be part of something special for our town.

Adam Whatling, Bob Trim, Sam Hammond, Daryl Hammond and Ian Hodges from Parkes certainly stood out from the crowd at the Bedgerabong Races.
