Private lessons
It was an exciting first week of the HotShots kids enjoying their special private lessons.
The coaches were impressed with all the girls and boys enthusiasm and listening skills.
Their final lesson to finish off Term 3 will be this week, while all of the usual private lessons will also finish this week.
The coaching team will then have two weeks off to prepare for the fourth term.
Term 4 commence on Monday October 11, with the squad returning along with private lessons and HotShots groups that have a maximum of four players.
Registrations will open online early October.

Recycling project
Parkes Tennis Club president Helen Magill is encouraging everyone to gather up their old, disused tennis racquets from the back shed and any old tennis balls no matter what their condition - even if the dog has finished chewing on them!
Gathering the unwanted tennis gear will be part of an exciting Australia-wide sports recycling project that is starting soon.
Parkes Tennis will be the pilot club for regional NSW, with more information to follow shortly.
Rally4Ever
Our mental wellbeing program, known as Rally4Ever, ironically hasn't been able to run during lockdown when it was probably most needed.
We will hopefully return on Thursday, October 14, from 1-2pm, when organised play should be good to go.
Everyone is welcome to come along, enjoy a hit with Helen and take part in some social tennis with a few laughs.
Night competitions
Night comps will return on October 11 from 6pm.
- Monday night: Ladies social doubles playing three sets
- Tuesday night: Mixed teams of three playing one set of singles and two sets of doubles
- Wednesday night: Singles challenge playing two matches
Entries for the competitions can be made online.
