While the Parkes Panthers weren't able to complete a dream back-to-back premiership in the AFL Central West (AFLCW) Tier 2 competition, the club will get a chance to celebrate their outstanding season with a week full of presentations.

The Panthers were undefeated, and were crowned minor premiers, before COVID-19 forced the cancellation of the remainder of the 2021 season.

With lockdown restrictions easing in Parkes last week, the Panthers will hold their club presentation at the Railway Hotel this Friday evening.
That will be the perfect finale to cap off a week full of AFLCW virtual presentations.
Starting from today, and running through to Friday, the online presentations provide a great way to celebrate the individual efforts
AFLCW football operations manager Casey White is excited for the upcoming celebrations.
"When the season was abandoned, we wanted to ensure the achievements of our players and volunteers weren't ignored particularly when considering we had completed our Home and Away season," he said late last week.
"The current climate doesn't allow for face-to-face gatherings of the magnitude which a league presentation requires.
"Rather than hold off until able, by which we could be well into the summer sporting season, the online format allows us to celebrate those who have achieved greatness this year," said White.
The AFLCW also announced an exciting new concept for the league, which White said would allow them to acknowledge the rich history of the game in the Central West.
"Excitingly, we will be announcing the 'Class of 2021' our first induction to the newly formed Hall of Fame.
"The Hall has been well received by the clubs, who have as of this morning nominated 26 members of the AFL CW community for consideration.
"We are thrilled with the response to this and look forward to celebrating some of these nominees' achievements with everyone on Friday night," said White.

White explained that it has been a very special year for the league, and the new concept would help them take the next step.
"The Hall of Fame is an integral part of the league's development and will allow us to recognise those who have played a massive part both on and off the field formally.
"We have had an incredible time celebrating 40 years of footy this season, and hope that our social media posts have put a smile on the faces of our AFL Central West community.
Now we have an opportunity through the Hall of Fame to draw close to the celebrations and turn our attention to the 2022 season," White said.
2022 promises to be another big year for the Panthers, with the majority of key players set to return.
For now though, they will celebrate the amazing individual efforts of players throughout their minor premiership - and there will certainly be a few players up for gongs.
Jono Morrell was the leading goalkicker for the entire competition, while another handful of players like Ethan Morton, Mitch Stubberfield and Travis Carte will no doubt be prominent in the Best and Fairest count.
All AFLCW events this week will begin at 6.30pm.
