Thank you to all of our tennis families for your patience in these challenging times. We are so grateful that our sport has largely been able to continue albeit in a reduced capacity where other sports have not during the current restrictions.
The junior and senior competitions cannot continue at this point nor can our organised social tennis nor our Rally4Ever mental wellbeing program.
When we have word from the NSW Government on when the Parkes LGA has some further opportunities for community sport we will be able to make plans and get everyone back on court as soon as possible.
HotShots for the remainder of Term 3
The Public Health Order and TennisNSW guidelines allowed us to continue to play Tennis in a one-on-one environment, however we chose to 'bunker down' with our community for the first two weeks.
After many calls and messages from parents urging us to get back on court to get their children off the screens and give them a sense of routine, normality and physical activity, we decided to conduct one-on-one sessions and have been overwhelmed with their gratitude the coaches have received.
So with our COVID-19 safety plan enabled, our coaching team then decided to invite all of our existing HotShots players back for the next two weeks and enjoy private one-on-one lessons at no extra charge.
This commenced yesterday, and will continue until Thursday September 23. Emails did go out last Friday to every current Hot Shot player. If you are yet to register your child please do so ASAP so they don't miss out.

We have also opened this up to the public so if there are any parents/carers who would like their children aged 4-16 to enjoy a half hour of private attention and partake in some valuable exercise and learning, then please register through www.parkestennis.com.au.
They come on the same day and time for both weeks. Times vary from 9.30am through to 7.30pm. Racquets may be borrowed and the cost is $60.
This is a good opportunity to come and try HotShots and see if they might like to register for a program in Term 4 when they are open.
Parents can stand outside and socially distance or perhaps use the half hour to go for a nice walk around the adjacent oval or around the block, clear your head and enjoy a little respite. For those who are double vaxxed, you can enjoy some company with friends.
Any enquiries please text Helen Magill on 0407 253 888.
Court Hire
With the weather being so beautiful in spring time, please think about getting the family out and enjoy a hit of Tennis.
You can book a court online through www.parkestennis.com.au. You will then receive a unique code which you enter to activate the gate and gain entry to the courts.
If you want to play under the lights, the lights will automatically switch on and switch off 15 minutes after your allotted time.
You can play singles (or doubles if from the same household) under the current government guidelines.
