In A-grade, Anita Medcalf did prove too hard to catch and her 375 total in the scratch was nine strokes better than both Kaye Jones and Dale Matthews.

Anita went further ahead after the fourth round and was the most consistent across the four rounds.

In B-grade, Helen Clarke was just too far ahead going into the last round for the chasers to get near and although Colleen Flynn made a valiant attempt, Helen finished a very impressive 13 strokes in front.

In C-grade again, it was too hard to catch the leader. Sue Holman went further in front to finish 26 strokes ahead of her nearest rival Denise Charlton.

So, congratulations to all the scratch winners but more importantly all those that contested the four rounds of the championships.

In the nett events, Kath Jeffress proved too strong in A-grade but only by a stroke from the ever-present Dale Matthews. This was Kath's first champs so a well-earned prize will make her razor keen for next year.

Colleen Flynn did take some ground off Helen Clark in the B-grade nett, but Helen still prevailed by five shots.

As was expected, the sparring partners Sue Holman and Judy Fisher did fight out the prize in C-grade, but Sue again was too many strokes ahead for Judy to make up, with Sue winning by eight strokes.

Lesley Fisher picked up the Dunford's Pharmacy daily winner prize with a sound 73 nett on a countback.
