McPhersons Under 7s
The under 7s played at Grenfell in freezing conditions last Saturday. We only played one game, but everyone seemed keen to get changed into warm clothes after the match.
It was a frustrating game, with the opposition coach spending the majority of the match trying to control some of his players, so we got very little time with the ball.
It was a reminder of how well behaved the boys have been this season.
Ashton Robinson was our captain this week, and along with his brother Abel, made some great tackles. These two have improved a great deal as the season progressed.
Spencer Brace and Sol Rauchle are our other big improvers, with big Sol scoring a long range try, and Spencer making some very strong tackles.
Under 11s Junior League Tag
A great game played by the girls in tough, wet conditions on the weekend with Parkes defeating Grenfell 46-10.
Outstanding effort by all; especially Miley Duff, Hayley O'Malley and Ayesha Carruthers who made a lot of strong runs throughout the day and gained many metres for the team.
Sharla Parker-Lee, Kasey Morgan and Olivia Hetherington also shone with great defence in tagging, keeping Grenfell scoreless in the first half.
Great attacking skills by Corby Fliender who scored three tries, Charli Milne scoring two tries with Piper White, Emma Hando, Haylee Lewis and Miley Nash all crossing over the line for a try each.
Conversions successful by Corby Fliender, Emma Hando and Ayesha Carruthers.
Players Player this week is awarded to Corby Fliedner.

The under 14s played Grenfell and came away with a win 42-nil. Scoring tries were Grace MacGregor (4), Grace Milne (2), Hayley Arrow (1), Joan Carolan (1) and Kailen Butt (1), with Kailen and Jorja converting a try each.
Jemima had some great runs and tagged well. Being a muddy and wet morning, we had a couple of girls diving for tags with Ella Jablonskis always putting her body on the line and Alana Folau running for a try and slipping in the mud just short of the try line.
Jorja Hanson was on the 40 metre line and got a break and made it over the halfway line and was only 5m short of the try line and tagged. It was a great run but not fast enough.
Mim also had great runs but was tagged just before the try line.
Player of the match went to Jorja Hanson.
