On Saturday Luke Ramsay v Peter Creith. As you would expect from these quality bowlers it was close until Luke led 26/20. Peter thought he was gone, but Peter managed to get back into the game and went on to win 31/27.
Six social bowlers came out for a roll, Mick Furney, George Greenhalgh and Brian Smith v Lea Tanks, Gene Rapp and Peter Job. According to the scorer George it was an 8 all draw but I think Lea's team won.
Sunday another game of major singles with Tony Bright v Ray Griffith. This was a good game also with very tight bowls played. Tony got a 4 to get away to a 24/14 lead but Ray wasn't done with yet. Tony led 29/21 and Ray dug in to get to 27/30. Tony got the shot on the 39th end to win 31/27.
Wednesday's chicken run had 12 brave players on a cold and very windy day. Winners were Allan Curteis & Allan Affleck W17+18. Runners up were Dave Johnson (happy birthday Dave) & Neil Riley on a countback 17+18 as well. Margins 3,18,18 and marble 11 rolled out so next week's jackpot will be $44. Stephan's hair cut went to Mick Dunn. The Zone 4 events have been postponed for 6 weeks due to the covid 19 pandemic .
Singles to be played by 5/9/20 are Peter Creith v Dougie Miller, Tony Bright V Geoff Leonard .
Pairs to be played by 30/8/20 are John Corcoran & Col Boehm v Luke Ramsay & Dougie Miller and Lea Tanks & Gene Rapp v Peter Job & Peter Creith.

Women's bowls
High player numbers continue, with 24 bowlers indulging in their favourite sport last Tuesday, on a fresh winter's day.
The semis of the Club Pairs and two games of Turn-Around-Triples were on the program.
Both semis were closely-fought, thrilling matches, deserving of semi-finals! An appreciative band of on-lookers enjoyed the entertainment! Thanks to umpire, Liz.
Betsy Johnstone & Brenda Davies led for most of their match against Maree Grant & Heather Harvey. However, Maree & Heather finished strongly to take the win by just one point, 15 - 14.
Kim Evans & Jan McPhee fought out a close match against opponents, Lea Orr & Lynn Ryan. The lead changed here & there, with Lea & Lynn finishing with a 3 on the final end, to win 21 - 19.
No one could blame the "Skip" for losing in the triples games - everyone took a turn at Skip!
Kay Craft/Frances Charlton/Lorraine Baker enjoyed a win over Fran Dixon/Di Howell/Maureen Miller, 25-11. Fran, Di & Maureen took some time to warm up, giving their foes an unbreakable lead!
Carol Reed/Chris Curteis/Joan Simpson eclipsed Chris Cox/Merilyn Rodgers/Gwenda Carty, enjoying their win, 18-14, in a close game.
The winners' draw saw Lea & Lynn still smiling, and with Lynn winning the raffle as well, her day was complete!
Skipper Merilyn did her best to control the raucous, dyslexic crowd around the Trading Table; the hilarity put a smile on everyone's face!
WBNSW has cancelled all events at District, Zone & State level, including the District AGM, for six weeks.
Next week, Aug 25, will see the final of the Club Championship Pairs: Maree Grant/Heather Harvey vs Lea Orr/Lynn Ryan.
Nominations for Club Triples will close.
We're looking forward to celebrating birthdays as well, a few members have 'seniored' on! Special cake and goodies!
To play social bowls next Tuesday, Aug 25, please ring the club, 68621446, between 9 & 9.30, with play to commence at 10. Social roster: Kay Craft.
