And organisers Roger Kitson, the shire's Drought Officer, and local artist Sean Cassidy couldn't be happier with the outcome.
The competition attracted 132 submissions, which Roger said he was pleased to see.
"We have tried to provide an equitable competition by breaking the competition up into Parkes, Peak Hill, Trundle and Tullamore regions," Roger said.
The categories included drawing and painting, poetry, photography and song writing, across two age groups - 13 years and under and 13-18 years.
"We had some good feedback from teachers about how important it was to open up that discussion for students - talking about the word resilience and what does it mean," Roger said.
"It's been a nice, worthwhile project."
Roger said the competition was a really good collective effort by all involved.
