IF there's ever been a good reason to sink a cold one or two, this could be it.

With thousands of people in Parkes, or heading that way very soon, owners of The Railway Hotel have created a bushfire relief with a difference.

Co-owners Kasie Ferguson and Bianca Sheridan say like many Australians they say they've been left heartbroken by the impacts of bushfires on communities, farmers and the environment.

"Like all of you we are devastated by what is happening right now to Australia," Ms Ferguson said.

"We will be donating $1 from every schooner sold this Thursday-Sunday to help with the fire relief.

"The total will be split between the NSW Rural Fire Service and WIRES."

Ms Ferguson said it has been difficult to see images of the bushfire ripping through communities and the devastation that it leaves behind.

"I've had really mixed emotions and it's left me feeling really grateful to have a roof over my head," she said.

"We just wanted to do something to be able to help them, the bushfire victims and wildlife.

"We worry about the climate and what's happening to it for the future of our children."

Ms Ferguson said at a time like this every little donation would help those affected by the bushfires.

"Get down here and have a beer with us this Parkes Elvis Festival to help where we can," she said.

For those not keen for a beer or two during the festival, the duo will also be accepting donations.

Ms Ferguson said the Elvis rugby union players, who play at Pioneer Oval at 6.30pm this Friday, will also be collecting donations for this fundraiser this week.

The Railway Hotel is 1-3 Caledonia Street and it will be open from 10am each day during the festival.

The weather is predicted to stay hot for the rest of the festival with the mercury soaring to 42 degrees on Friday. Parkes' long term average maximum in January of 33.8 degrees.
