It was an idea sparked by the residents who asked if they could have a dinner themed like they were on a cruise.
So inspired were the staff that they went one step further, theming a whole day and evening around 'Titanic remembrance day'.
The home was transformed with costumes and props which were kindly contributed by local Parkes businesses, CanAssist, Vinnies, Georgie's Boutique, Salvation Army, Maree's Costume Hire and Signs You See.
Chests and vintage luggage were on display, the piano covered in photos of the residents and a replica of the bow of the Titanic expertly built by Glenn O'Malley.
Residents donned their finest clothes as they posed for photos on the ship and in front of a green screen, instantly transporting them and their families on to a cruise.
Titanic was shown for a movie afternoon and the evening meal was inspired by an actual menu from the Titanic, featuring the likes of Crème D'Asperges and Petits Mocka.
BaptistCare Niola residents were buzzing after the day saying it was a night to remember and thanking staff for creating such special memories.
