Bright Spark Power CEO, Arran Coughlan, and Squash NSW CEO Richard Griffiths were at Parkes Services Squash Centre for the regional launch of the multi-year sponsorship deal, which will see Bright Spark Power, a 100 per cent Australian owned and locally focused electricity retailer, provide funds to reinvest in squash communities across NSW.
Far from being a forgotten sport, squash is alive and well across the state.
This is no different in Parkes, where Jay and Judy Kross run what we unashamedly believe to be the best squash centre in the state.
Junior events and school squash are a huge part of squash community activity, with centres being a focus point for healthy family activity.
After a long period of not being able to host events, Parkes Squash hosted one of six Junior Performance Pathway Regional Camps across the state over the weekend, and Squash NSW worked hard to get some 90 juniors across the state access to top quality coaching on the day.

The camp sessions focused on agility, court movement, serving and structured drills, and also included a referee presentation and coordinated warm up and warm down routines.
The other centres to host camps included Thornleigh, Gerringong, Wagga Wagga, Coffs Harbour and Cardiff.
The Squash NSW mission is to promote squash to communities across New South Wales.
Not only does the Bright Spark Power partnership help support local communities, it will also provide opportunities for people who want to get involved with squash but don't know where or how to start through greater awareness and promotion.
It was great to see Parkes squash buzzing with families again.
- Arran Coughlan
Coughlan said he was so pleased to finally be able to be amongst some smiling communities and customers again.
"It was great to see Parkes squash buzzing with families again as we were privileged to launch our partnership at a junior squash clinic event," he said.
"It was a refreshing positive change to see community sport back in action.
"Being able to once again get out amongst our customers and communities that we support is a reward for all the great work by the NSW community in getting through the last few months.
"I'll be spending as much time on the road through regional NSW as possible for the rest of the year meeting customers, talking about our local community squash sponsorships and of course helping businesses," said Coughlan.
Griffith was so pleased to be able to announce the partnership with Bright Spark.
"It was great to be back traveling to regional NSW and visit Parkes Squash Centre, with Arran from Bright Spark Power," he said.
"It was amazing to see people of all ages back in Squash courts and enjoying playing again.
"Squash NSW are committed to continuing to support all our centre across the state including regional areas to showcase squash and grow this great sport," said Griffith.
