The day celebrates Cooper Thomson's association with the Parkes Golf Club and members.
The day was split into shotgun starts early and late with the AGM held at 11am, so the early morning start wasn't well supported with some scuddy showers and a strong wind prevalent.
Players banked on conditions improving for the late start and overall 75 players turned out to play the popular 3 person Stoney Creek format.
Alex Edwards, Chris Luke and Ryan Edwards fared the best on the day with a well compiled score of 94 points.
While the best drive is selected all the players then continue to play the hole out and score individually to get the total score, meaning the three players had to both combine well and to score well individually.
The team finished three points clear of their nearest rivals.
In the individual event the best recorded score was 83, with Michael Dumesny, returning from a break, hitting the ball well in the windy conditions alongside Jake Thompson, again taking advantage of the downwind holes with the long bombs.
Toby Tanks also hit it well.
They finished one point in front of Wayne Parker getting back into the swing again after a short layoff, with Ray Maxwell and Rod Maxwell obviously unable to be separated in the bragging rights for the day.
The Nearest The Pins this week were - Idlerite Tyrepower 1st won by Mick Smith at 747cm, the Griffins Leading Edge 4th by Robert Rea at 187cm, the Dirt Doctor Landscaping 6th by Anthony Riach at 67cm, the Parkes Readymixed Concrete 9th by Jake Hodge at 143cm, the Harvey Norman 11th by Phil Smith at 292cm, the Westlime 15th by Toby Tanks at 500cm and the Central West Glass 18th by Cody Hando at 51cm. So that meant that Anthony Riach won the lucrative 6th hole this week at 67cm.
Ball winners were - Michael Dumesny, Jake Thompson, Toby Tanks 83, Wayne Parker, Ray Maxwell, Rod Maxwell 82, Blake Smith, Blake Parker, Mick Smith 81, Phil Barnard, Jake Hodge, Cody Hando 80.
This week is the Ladies and Men's Foursomes Championships with Safe Tasks - QRS Group sponsoring the men and 1300 BUGMAN, Parkes Betta Home Living and Parkes Proshop - Jake O'Brien sponsoring the ladies.

It was a day where Parkes dominated Forbes, also winning the Mick Miller Shield (142 points to 128) and and all nearest to pins.
Hamilton backed up his runners-up prize to take the A grade nearest to pin at the 11th hole, while Rob Lea and Tom Delmenico won the A and B grade respectively on the fourth hole.
The ball sweep went to 21 points and winners were: 24 points - John Fowler (P); 23 - John Pearce (P); 22 - Ian Phipps and Nym Dziuba (P) and Gary Collitts and Ted Morgan (F); 21 - Rob Lea and Gary Phillips (P) and Barry Parker, Geoff Drane, Barry Shine and Ken Sanderson (F).
