Under 7's
It was a very good performance by the McPherson's under 7's on Saturday, but very one sided. We scored a try on the first or second tackle every time we had the ball, which meant we actually got little time to play some football.
Damon Woods, Seth Toomey, Spencer Brace and Nate Calabro all scored their very first tries and Sol Rouchle played his first game too and will be a real handful after a few more games.
Oscar Gosper, Bill O'Bryan and Lebron Murray showed how much they have improved this year, while Rhys Hetherington saved about four tries and scored a couple as well.
Saxon Gosper, Jack Burt and Cohen MacGregor were outstanding again, and are three little stars in the making. Special mention to Cohen with another four tries and Bill who grabbed six. Also Roy, Saxon and Oscar who backed up to help out the under 8's.
Under 11's JLT
The MP Home Design and Develop under 11 league tag girls came away with the win against Forbes.
Charli Milne made a break to score the first try of the game, with Ayesha Carruthers converting the goal. After some great tagging by Kasey Morgan, Hayley O'Malley and Sharla Parker; Corby Fliedner was too fast for Forbes, and was able to score.
Grace Fernando, Miley Duff and Haylee Lewis all made some great runs throughout the day, while a drop ball from Forbes saw Charli Milne score in the corner, taking the score to 14-6 just before halftime.
More great passes from Miley Nash, Corby Fliedner and Miley Duff and tries to Emma Hando and Ayesha Carruthers saw the girls take the game 24-10. Players' player this week was given to Kasey Morgan.

Under 12's
The K & H Earthmoving under 12's got to kick off first in their game against Forbes, and good defence by Khan Jackson, Riley Fernando, Callum Munday, Sean Guilthorpe, Kasey Eshman and Jett Clarke saw a try to George Thomas within five minutes. Jaylin Moran successfully converted the try.
Parkes defended really well but unfortunately Forbes scored two tries to take the score to 12-6 at half time. Within no time of the second half starting, Jaylin Moran, with an outstanding chip and chase, scored a try under the post before Hamish McGrath snag a try from another good kick.
The game had been a back-and-forth battle. Tackle for tackle. Point for point.
When Parkes took possession for the last set of the game, there was 30 seconds left on the clock. Jaylin Moran put in a grubber kick as the hooter sounded, with the ball was scooped up in seconds by George Thomas, who scored the winning try after the siren much to the delight of everyone watching.
Under 14's JLT
The under 14 league tag side played two games last Saturday.
The first game was against Forbes Black, the stronger team - and we had a 30-10 win. We started off slow, but got some momentum going 10 mins into the game. Grace MacGregor and Mim both scored two tries while Meg Mahon and Alana Folau got one each while Meg, Jorja Hanson and Nell Smith all scored goals. Players player went to Hayley Arrow after she had an awesome game at dummy half.
In the second game against Forbes White, the team played exceptionally well and secured another good win - which finished 26-6.
Nell Smith scored three tries and converted 1 of them while Hayley Arrow scored another great try, squeezing through as dummy half and scoring between the players legs. Grace Milne was next to go over the line before Hayley scored another from dummy-half. Newcomer Taylor O'Malley tagged well and had lots of runs while Addison Collier, Chloe Budd and Joan Carolan were great at defending.
Under 16's
The Brian Collins Smash Repairs/Agriwest under 16's looked strong on the weekend as they took on a fiery Forbes side - and they emerged victorious with a 52-nil win.
Oliver Thomas barged his way over for Parkes' first try, with Marley Moran converting.
An intercept by Joe Monk set up the second try through Reece James, before fullback Kaid Lydford scored from the back off a kick - zigzagging his way through the defence to score. Mason Leedham and Malakai Folau were both strong in attack, and the latter was able to score just before halftime - taking the side to 20-nil at the break.
The second half saw some fresh faces take the field. Daniel Hando, Dustin James and Jack Jessop were strong in attack and defense while Jake Herring and Zac Payseno led from the front through word and deed.
Parkes scored through Malakai, Tye and Oliver, before Jay Arrow then made a break - with Mac Rauchle finishing the run with a try. Kaid and Tye both grabbed a double with late tries, meaning the side brought up their half century.
Under 17's JLT
The Hanson Plumbing/Parkes Services Club Under 17 league tag girls followed on from last week's good form with another dominant showing against Forbes that saw them win 50-4.
A mix of great teamwork, speed and nice ball movement from right across the park saw the girls scoring a swag of tries, and hopefully this talented bunch of girls can continue to improve and build on what's been a pretty impressive start to their season.
Try scorers: Elizabeth MacGregor (4), Ella Wilkinson (2), Jorja Simpson (2) and Teagan Smede (2). Goals: Teagan Smede (4) and Charli Robinson (1).
