Congratulations and happy birthdays to Anne Wright and Kim Evans for reaching new heights in their birthday numbers! (Kim now pledges to enter all veteran comps!)
Thanks to Valmai and Maureen for their complimentary words on behalf of us all.
Two very happy gals cut their cake - and several non-playing, cake-seeking members arrived just in time to share!
Hot, blowy conditions saw low numbers out playing.
There were more spectators than players. Awesome greens as always - can't blame the grass for mistakes.
Valmai Westcott, Di Howell and Lynn Ryan played the better bowls to defeat Gwenda Carty, Brenda Davies and Lea Orr.
Lorraine Baker and Carol Reed enjoyed a narrow win over Heather Harvey and Fran Dixon.
Kate Keogh and Kay Craft held the advantage over Rosemary Mitchell and Anne Wright in their game.
Kate and Kay continued their winning streak by taking out the winner's draw.
Next Tuesday, December 8, will be our presentation day and lunch. Full uniform please, to appease the photographers.
Definite NUMBERS are needed for Dev's catered lunch.
If you wish to attend, and do not have your name down for the $20 lunch, please contact president Maureen (0417 295 292) today, or sooner!
To play social bowls next week, please call the club, 6862 1446, between 8.30am-9am. Try to arrive by 9.15am so that play can begin promptly at 9.30am.
Social roster: Carol Reed.

On Saturday we had two games of championships and one social game, and it was hot and windy.
In the minor singles Graham Cole played Steve Clegg. This was a very entertaining match with the score close all the way in difficult conditions.
On 33 ends they were 27-all, but then Graham won the next three to win 31/27.
Congratulations Graham, who played Juicy Daley in the final on Thursday, December 3 at 5pm.
In the triples Peter Creith, Peter Job and Lea Tanks lined-up against Luke Ramsay, Dougie Miller and Luke Cross.
Another close game early, score 13/11 on 12 ends in favor of Luke. Well Luke then went on to win 29/15.
Luke is in the final to play Ben McNaughton's team.
In the social game we had six hardy bowlers turn-out - Kevin Hynds, Allan Affleck and John Monti took on Gene Rapp, George Greenhalgh and Dave Willcockson. Kevin getting the win 35/15.
The final of the fours was held on Sunday.
Col Boehm, Mick Furney, Kevin Hynds and Marty Fitzpatrick played Tony Peisley, Peter Job, Paul Keogh and Pav Cross.
This was a close game as you would expect - Tony held the lead throughout the game and the score was 13/12 on 18 ends.
In the final three ends Tony won all, and the four Ps took out the title 18/12.
Wednesday we had 16 players on a very different, cool day.
Winners were Terry Hetherington and Greg Huggins W 18+17. Runners-up Kevin Hynds and Bobby Freeman W 17+4. Margins were 4, 8, 9 and 17.
Number 4 rolled out so Kevin Hynds, Bobby Freeman, Terry Clothier and Trisha Allen shared the $143.
Next week's jackpot will be $16.
On Thursday, December 3 the final of the minor singles and pairs will be played.
Pairs at 10am and singles at 5pm.

The shoot was at fox targets for a maximum of 530.53 points collectively.
Name - 25 metres - 50 metres - total
Brian Drabsch - 280.26 - 250.22 - 530.48
Jeff Charlton - 280.26 - 250.20 - 530.46
David Wilson - 280.21 - 250.23 - 530.44

Paul Hocking - 276.17 - 248.09 - 524.26
Alan Britton - 263.04 - 221.01 - 484.05
This match was shot under very strong south-westerly winds but most handled it well at 50 metres.
On Saturday December 5 we will be holding a working bee with an 8.30am start and any help would be appreciated. See you there!
Our next shoot is at 10am the following Sunday. The friendly rivalry between Stumpy and Gumby came to a head at this shoot with Stumpy getting up by just two central bullseyes and wasn't he happy. Be warned next weekend, Gumby will be out for revenge!
