Jarrod Westcott led from the front; strong in attack and deadly in defence in one of his best games yet.
Coach Cooper Byrnes graced the field to start but opted to utilise the bench full of experienced and very keen men waiting to get on the field.
Running in 2 unanswered tries in the first half the Boars could smell a victory going into the break 14-0 up.
On return to the field the experience and determination of Nick Westcott was awarded when he crossed 3 minutes into the half.
The game was played predominately in the Boars end but CSU did rally and picked up their defence. Jarrod Westcott took a hard running high stepping run and crossed on the wing to give the Boars an insurmountable lead of 24-0.
Three minutes later Michael Murphy struck again with his second try, this time Hutchins added the extras. Still Parkes kept attacking.
Tim Lawler took a chest pass and made 35m before being rolled, Mitch Hutchins intercepted a floating pass and returned the ball to within 10m of the line.
A handling error by CSU gave Parkes the scrum feed on the 15m which was enough to punish the opposition as the Boars pushed the Mitchell men towards the line. With seconds to go Mitch Westcott found the line, conversion was not needed and the Boars took the match 36-0.
A huge crowd showed their appreciation for the game held in perfect Rugby conditions and coach Cooper Byrnes was very impressed with his charges.
"We nailed this match. It was a forwards game- that made all the difference. We were focused in the scrums and controlled in the lineouts.
"Our backs took chances when space opened up and we came out better on the day.
It was those 1% opportunities we capitalized on and the experience and depth of our bench meant we had the momentum from the first to last whistle."
The first game for the day saw the Ladies also take on CSU Mitchell, with the Boars, a first year team, falling to a 36-7 defeat.
The girls were not able to capitalize on their colossal win from the previous week when they were faced with a very fit and well drilled CSU team.
On the field the teams were evenly matched in regard to handling skills but CSU kept the pressure up and shut down the Boars play. It was the leg speed of the CSU team that gave them so many scoring opportunities.
Ladies coach Mitchell Westcott conceded that their fitness let them down, but implored his side to keep the faith.
"This is our very first season in the competition and the team is still learning each other's strengths.
"We need to finish off our set moves more confidently and focus on what we do best. Our fitness let us down this match but we are getting stronger in that area each week.
"The CSU team had us on the back foot from the first phase of play but we regathered and fought back. I am proud of what we have achieved this year so far and look forward to growing this great team," said Westcott.
Parkes will enjoy a bye this weekend but regroup again next weekend to travel to Narromine to face the Gorillas in their home nest.
