Friday night saw a meet-and-greet at the Parkes Services Club with attendees travelling from as far away as Queensland, Melbourne, and the north and south coast of NSW.
Old friends were reunited and the evening was filled with stories and reminiscences since their previous get-together, some eight years earlier.
On the Saturday morning arrangements had been made for an inspection of the high school, followed by a leisurely sausage sizzle lunch.
After lunch we were escorted on an inspection of the kindergarten and primary school buildings.
A beautiful buffet dinner was served on Saturday night in the Starlight Lounge of the Services Club, with the casual, official part of the evening under control of our School Captain in 1961, Merran Cannon (Freebairn).
We finished the dinner with a rousing rendition of the school's song, led in fine voice by Merran.
On Sunday morning a farewell brunch was held at Lions Park, with food supplied by the ladies of Can Assist.
This was the fourth reunion of this class of ex-students, and it was unanimously considered the best yet - so much so, arrangements are now in place to have another re-union in 2022.
