The Parkes Action Club, who are happy to take on the organisation of the event again this year, has been busily planning the parade for December 13 and the activities in Cooke Park that follow.
And there's been a slight change to the program this year.
The parade will run as usual and along its regular route as it has done so over the last few years, but the markets in the park will be organised a little differently.
And there will be an added feature.
Parkes Action Club member Peter Guppy said the markets will only include local people this year and no stallholders from outside the Parkes Shire.
"We want local people to benefit from the markets and we want to keep business and money in town," he said.
"So if there are any backyard jewellery makers or craftspeople, we'd love to hear from you.
"We are also planning to have a stage set up after the street parade for local people to perform on - be that singers, dancers, karate demonstrations or gymnastics.
"Whoever wants 15 minutes of fame."
Registrations close on November 29 but Peter said it's best if you get in early.
For any local performer interested in taking to the stage in the park on December 13, let the Action Club know by emailing parkesactionclub@gmail.com.
