A man was allegedly assaulted outsided a take away restaurant in Clarinda Street on Monday evening.
The victim claims he was punched in the face by an unknown person as he was walking out of the shop.
He claims the offender then left the scene in a navy coloured Toyota Landcruiser.
He attended Parkes Hospital for treatment of a swollen left cheek.
Investigations continue.

An 18-year-old Parkes man remains in custody after he was arrested and charged with breaching his bail conditions on Tuesday.
Police stopped the driver of a Holden Commodore on the Renshaw McGirr Way at 3.10am.
A passenger got out of the vehicle and ran from police, who were able to identify him.
At 3.40am officers went to his home to conduct a bail compliance check and he was not in the house.
At 10.27pm on Tuesday he was arrested and charged.
He was refused police bail and appeared in Parkes Local Court where he was also refused bail.

Police will await the results of further analysis before taking any action against a 25-year-old Parkes man after he failed a roadside drug test in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Police stopped the man, driving a blue Holden Vectra, in Woodward Street at 2.50am.
An oral fluid test returned a positive result for methamphetamine.
He was arrested and taken to Parkes Police Station for a Drager test which also returned a positive result for methamphetamine.
