A MURDER charge has now been laid following an afternoon shooting in Parkes.

Just before 5pm on Monday, emergency services were called to Porter Street, Parkes, after receiving information a man had been shot.
The 25-year-old man was taken to Parkes Hospital in a critical condition and died.
Officers from Central West Police District established a crime scene and commenced investigations.
Following investigations, an 18-year-old man was arrested and charged with murder.
He was refused bail and will appear in Parkes Local Court today on Tuesday, June 25.
