A delicious shared lunch was enjoyed by all to celebrate the 80th birthday of Audrey Jones who is a long-time member of our women's club. Happy Birthday Audrey.

Sunday, June 9 the Parkes Services Social Golfers played a Stableford event for Trophy supplied by Dawn Phipps and trophy by Phil Bishop if anyone can find him.
Winner on the day Rodney Luyt with 40 points.
Runner ups were Tom Delmenico on 37 points from Robert Rea on 36 points with Robert Hey on 35 points. (not a bad score considering his handicap is two.)
Ladies Nearest the Pins were all won by Lyn Davison which were the fourth the sixth the 11th holes.
Men's Nearest the Pin winners first Phil Smith, fourth Phil Smith, 11th Robert Rea and 15th Chris Goodie.
Lucky Card Draw won by Richard Wells.
Bunny Award went to Dawn Phipps.
Raffle winner was Tom Delmenico with Golf Balls going to Robert Hey, Sue Smith and Reg Davison.
Members please be aware the first round of our 4BBB Championships with trophies donated by Margaret Hogan and Ross Smith will be played on Sunday, June 16 with Robert Hey bringing the raffle.
Please be a little bit kind to our captain this week as last week after nine holes he had to slip home to stop the breeze in his trousers. Go the Dragons.

Parkes SSAA Sports Clays
At the last shoot ten shooters attend the Deep Lead shooting complex. They shot in a 80 target day with two events.
Event one: 60 targets know rise using a number of clay target throwers set at various angles, heights and speeds.

A special thanks goes to Brett Dean who filled in for officials who were away in Liverpool for the state's AGM.
At that AGM Brian Drabsch was given two awards for his years of service to the Parkes SSAA and state as a whole. Our next shoot is at 1pm Saturday, June 15. It will be similar to the above mentioned events.

Last weekend we saw nine shooters out at the Deep Lead range and shot at buffalo targets at both 25 and 50 meters for a maximum 520 points.

Welcome back to Saturday netball. This weekend we will be hosting our annual crazy sock and hair day to raise money and awareness for childhood cancer research. Please take part in this worthy cause by dressing up in your most crazy socks and having the wildest hair.
A donation box will be placed at time control table as well as girls bringing a collection bucket around. Don't forget there are prizes for teams and individuals.
