THE mercury might have already soared past 30 when the Elvis Gospel Service started, but it did not deter hundreds of fans from attending.
The hugely-popular service is held every year during the Parkes Elvis Festival and this year performers came from across Australia to attend.
Gospel singer Francine Bell was among the performers and she received a welcome cheer from the crowds.
A barbershop quartet from Parkes also took to the main stage in Cooke Park during the service.
Elvis tribute artist Anthony Petrucci also wowed the crowd during the popular event.
