Divisions 2, 3 and 4, all secured wins while Division 1 narrowly went down after extra holes.
Playing Cowra, Division 1 scored two wins through Lachlan Buesnell (3 and 2) and Ken Cobcroft (5 and 4).
Peter Dixon (4 and 3) and Aaron Wilkie (1 down) found the going too difficult.
Rob Hey’s match was all square after 18 holes, needing to go back up the 1st to decide a winner.
Unfortunately for Parkes, Hey could not claim the victory, with all but the slimmest hope of reaching the finals going with it.
They now require a very good win in their final match at Forbes in three weeks and other results to go their way.
If Forbes defeat Bathurst this weekend in Cowra, Parkes will be out.
Parkes need Bathurst to win well, then to beat them in the final match and hope Cowra also beat Forbes in between.
Division 2 secured their second 4-1 victory in a row after dominating a solid Forbes team.
Brendan Chambers (5 and 4), Phil Barnard (3 and 2) and Joe van Opynen (6 and 4) all secured straight forward wins.
Tim Burke turned around his poor form from the first week to secure victory on the 19th hole.
John Green was Division 2’s only loser, finishing 1 down.
Division 2 lead their pool, and while they will hope to finish top, only require a victory this Sunday to secure a spot in the semis.
Division 3 also matched their Round 1 result by securing a 3-2 victory.
Todd Jayett (1up) scored his second successive victory while Peter Bristol (2 and 1) turned his form around from the first week.
Jake Hodge (1up) followed on from his victory in Orange with another win while Rod Kiley (6 and 5), and Mick Smith (3 and 2) fell to strong opposition.
Last Sunday’s victory has Division 3 in a very strong position to qualify for the finals.
One more win could be enough and the team will be hoping to secure it this weekend.
After a narrow loss in Round 1, Division 4 turned their fortunes around with a 3-2 victory and keep their finals hopes alive.
David Harwood (5 and 4), Justin Ward (6 and 5), and Jarrod Kemp (3 and 1) were too good, securing victory for their team.
Fine Latu (5 and 4) and Luke Greenwood (5 and 4) could not put it together on the day.
Division 4 need to continue winning to earn their spot in the finals.
They will look to build on their momentum this Sunday at Cowra.
