During the party we were entertained by Bob (Bev) Dyer and his wife Dolly (Isabel) who ran an entertaining "Pick a Box" session. Most contestants chose the box with the luckiest winner being acting President Greig Ball who claimed a lovely car!
On a more serious note two annual trophies were presented. Helen McQuie awarded the Monday night point score trophy to Tim Baker who was so pleased that he didn't let the cup out of sight all evening. Second place went to Jennifer Calvert.
Jenny Freeman presented the Rising Star award and it was won for the second time by Greig Ball who narrowly beat Robyn Sheridan, Jan Latter and Beryl Twardy. Don't worry girls he won't win it again as he has exceeded the 25 master points level so can't compete in 2018.
Well done Tim and Greig. Bev Laing also handed out some less formal prizes and this caused much laughter. We enjoyed a delicious meal thanks to Pam at the Leagues Club and her kitchen helpers. A good time was had by all.
