Parkes and District Junior Cricket Association wishes to advise that junior cricket will go into recess for the Christmas/New Year break.
Junior cricket will resume on the weekend of Friday, February 2 and Saturday, February 3, 2018.
The executive of P.D.J.C.A. wishes to sincerely thank all the volunteers who have guided the various teams from Parkes, Forbes and Condobolin by either - umpiring, scoring, coaching and managing teams.
Your efforts have enabled the junior cricketers in our district to take part in the wonderful game of cricket. The executive trusts that you have gained deep personal satisfaction from your efforts.
Best wishes are extended for all members of the local junior cricket community for the festive season.

The in2cricket classes concluded on Thursday, December 9 and will resume Thursday, February 1, 2018.
Representative Cricket
Condobolin too strong in under 12s
Condobolin 5/121 in 32 overs (Robert Stuckey 43, Riley Keen 30, Ryan Goodsell 19, Samuel Drew 2/24 off seven overs, Ewan Moody 1/12 off 4 overs, Harry Jones 1/19 off 7 overs) defeated Parkes 10/74 in 26.1 overs (Jack Milne 14, Maddy Spence 9, Harry Jones 9, Samuel Drew 5, Christian Drew 5, Devansh Pandya 2/9 off three overs, Jack Jones 2/6 off two overs, Connor Thompson 1/4 off two overs, Riley Keen 1/6 off four overs, Ryan Goodsell 1/5 off two overs, Robert Stuckey 1/8 off three overs Noah Nash 1/7 off two overs).
Responsible batting by Condobolin’s Robert Stuckey (43) and Riley Keen (30) gave Condobolin a top basis for a good team score. Riley Goodsell (19) kept up the good work.
The Condobolin players demonstrated some good running between the wickets to eventually total 5/121 in their allocated 32 overs.
Samuel Drew showed good promise by taking 2/24 in his seven over stint at the bowling crease for Parkes, while Maddy Spence executed a good outfield catch to dismiss Riley Keen.
Ewan Moody took a catch and assisted in a runout to be a useful player in the field for Parkes.
After Jack Milne (14) and Maddy Spence (9) gave Parkes a solid start, some of the Parkes batsmen went on to build a substantial innings.
Harry Jones fell to a stunning catch taken by Condobolin’s captain Riley Keen.
Players from both teams deserve credit for playing the game in good spirit.
The next inter-town game will be played on February 4, 2018 when Parkes under 12s travel to Dubbo to play Dubbo Blue prior to playing Dubbo White in Parkes on February 11, 2018.
Presentation of Representative Shirts and Caps to Parkes under 12 team
Prior to the start of Sunday’s under 12 Representative match between Parkes and Condobolin a special presentation ceremony took place whereby Parkes McDonalds Family Restaurant Store Manager Mr Josh Townsend was on hand to present brand new Parkes and District Junior Cricket Association shirts and caps that have been sponsored by Parkes McDonalds.
Each Parkes player was able to take the field looking very smart in their newly presented attire.
