Where else for comedian Tom Gleeson than his brother’s cafe in Orange.
But when Gleeson arrived at Factory Espresso in Kite Street last Friday it wasn’t just a brotherly catch up.
The pair announced that the cafe is set to become Orange’s newest home for comedy with a show every month.
To tie in with the cafe’s fifth anniversary they revealed it will become home to the Factory Espresso comedy night starting with Gleeson performing at the first show on Friday October 20.
“I’ve been doing all the capitals and I’m finishing in a cafe in Orange. At my brother’s cafe,” the ABC TV show host said.
He said regular comedy shows were rare in regional areas and he was looking forward to the Orange show.
“I will go for as long as people will have me.”
And there will room for Orange comedians each month.
Nick Gleeson said they wanted to have a big name headlining each show with possibly a five minute open mic spot or local act in support.
Tom said he was delighted to see his show Hard Quiz renewed on ABC TV for a third season.
