Neighbours, who saw flames coming from the roof of the house, contacted 000 at 11.30pm.
Emergency services attended and two Parkes Fire and Rescue NSW crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire.
No one was home at the time of the fire.
The owners, who had been away, were travelling home at the time of the fire.
There are no suspicious circumstances.

Unknown offenders entered the rear yard of a residence in Albert Street between 5pm on Friday and 6am on Saturday and stole a Ross brand lawn mower and a Homelight brand brush cutter.
The items are valued at $700.

At 1.40am the occupant heard a knock at the front of the house and then the sound of smashing glass.
He got up and discovered a window had been smashed.

The owner of the blue Mitsubishi station wagon was shopping.
On their return, they discovered a dent on the rear passenger door.
The damage was reported to police who are making inquiries into CCTV footage of the area.

A vehicle parked in Orange Street overnight on Wednesday was maliciously damaged.
Sometime between 6pm on Wednesday and 8am on Thursday unknown offenders kicked the driver's door.
