In wet, muddy and cold conditions, both the Trundle Boomers and Condobolin Rams had everything to play for.
But only one could win and it was Condobolin Rams who defeated Trundle Boomers 18-16.
Trundle secretary Leisa Rowlands was devastated saying the local side lost by two for the second year in a row.

“This one hurts more than last year,” she said.
“We have such passionate players who put everything on the line for their team. We couldn’t be prouder.”
Captain-coach Jesse Durning, who was covered in mud from head to toe, said he was gutted.
“It’s hard, I’m gutted. Backs against the wall for 80 minutes,” he said.
“We just couldn’t get a run of the ball but not one person gave up.
“I’d rather lose 100 premierships with these blokes than win one with anyone else.”
Durning said the team’s supporters continued to amaze him.
“They are so loyal. Rain, hail or shine they travel to cheer us on,” he said.
“The committee has backed me 100 per cent for two years as coach. I couldn’t ask for anything else.
“It just wasn’t meant to be.”

Condobolin – tries to Jake Blunden, Tyrell Charters, Jake Haddrill; goals to Keanu Wighton (3).
