Professional Teaching Artist Brianna Slattery conducted the workshop as part of The Song Room - a national not-for-profit organisation that provides tailored, face to face, long-term music and arts-based programs.
The project was made possible by the generous support of GrainCorp.
The Song Room provided the school with a new set of djembes to incorporate drumming into the school’s long-term music program.
The smiles on the students faces throughout the sessions was proof of how popular the workshops were.
This enthusiasm spilled over to the adults with special evening sessions proving a real hoot with all and sundry.
The Song Room’s vision is that all Australian children have the opportunity to participate in music and the arts to enhance their education, personal development and community involvement.
