Christmas is Jesus’ birthday. It is a time of giving and we have a Giving Tree. Santa comes in the night. I am hoping to get an XBox.

Christmas is a happy time, you get lots of presents. It is Jesus’ birthday. I like it when we have a Christmas party. Santa comes at midnight and when it is daytime you get to open your presents.

I like it when there are nice presents and wrappings. It is a celebration of Jesus’ birthday. We like to go on holidays and we like going camping. I like giving presents to my family.

Christmas is a special time because it is Jesus’ birthday. Santa comes and brings presents. We go to Bathurst and visit Nanny and Ma. We have a roast dinner.

Christmas means to me joy and happiness. It’s a time to give thanks to God for sending his only son Jesus to us, in human form, so that one day he’ll be able to save us from ourselves.

Nat Kelly - Year 4 - Age 10,  Parkes Public School. 
Christmas is a fun time when you celebrate the birth of Jesus. We put up the tree and decorations and sing Christmas songs. We give each other presents.

Elizabeth Hoyle - Year 5 - Age 11,  Parkes Public School.
To me, Christmas means a lot more than just the presents. It’s about spending time with family and friends who wouldn’t normally be present and 
sharing the year’s experiences and stories (though the presents make up a considerable part as well).

On one day of this year it’s Christmas and our family uses this time to come together to celebrate the birth of Jesus. We also spend timewith our cousins and relatives we hardly ever see.
