The events were all State Championships and State Team eliminators.
Dave is a veteran shooter and club member of many years.
At the age of 68, he went on to shoot the highest break of his life.
He shot 274 targets without miss to win the NSW State Veterans Championships.
Very few sportsmen in any sport reach their top late in life but Dave is still a double A grade shooter and is on absolute maximum handicap of 25 metres.
Luke Ellison is a third generation shooter from the Ellison family.
Luke’s grandfather, father and several of his brothers were all well known clay shooters, displaying great skills over many years.
Luke also shot a long break in the double barrell, without getting a place in the top awards.
He shot consistently excellent scores over the entire carnival.
Luke has been included in the NSW 12 person team.
Among the men at the carnival, there were quite a few excellent female shooters in action.
At 33 years old, Luke is in the prime of his career, winning major events regularly and representative honours at State and National levels.
Meanwhile, the Toby Hawke Memorial has again been shot with proceeds donated to CanAssist.
The splendid trophy put into circulation by the Hawke family was fiercely contested with Luke Ellison finishing the winner.
Recent years have seen family, friends and shooting mates of Toby take out his memorial trophy.
Past winners include 2012 - John Tomlinson; 2013 - Alan Miles; 2014 - Luke Ellison.
