Parkes High School and Parkes Shire Library welcomed people from across the region to the first Central West Comics Fest.
The two-day event was a chance for people across regional New South Wales to celebrate all forms of comics and cartooning.
Top Aussie comics creators Pat Grant and Marcelo Baez ran workshops for kids, teens, and adults.
Fans travelled from as far as Orange, Forbes, and Cowra to hear their advice on making your own comics.
Staff from Kings Comics in Sydney also attended, with a huge range of books, toys, posters, and memorabilia for sale.
Tracy Dawson of Parkes High School, Tracie Mauro of Parkes Shire Library, and Reader-in-Residence Dr Matt Finch organised the event.
Plans are already underway for an even bigger and better version in 2015.
