Last Friday, with tight lockdown restrictions lifted in the Parkes LGA and the 2021 AFL Central West (AFLCW) Tier 2 abandoned due to the COVID-19 situation in the region, the Panthers were able to come together the celebrate the individual and collective efforts throughout their undefeated season.
Held at the Hart Bar, located at major sponsors the Railway Hotel, eight individual awards were handed out for what was an incredible season.
Parkes, the reigning premiers, finished the season with nine wins and no losses at the phenomenal percentage of 1019.77 and were certainly on track to secure back-to-back flags before the season was halted.
Coach Mitch Stubberfield acknowledged earlier this month that regardless of how well the side had been going, the AFLCW made the right decision not to award premierships.
"Awarding the minor premiership was the right call, it wouldn't have felt right to have been awarded the flag without a grand final, because anything could have happened," he said.
The side put on a whopping 877 points and conceded just 86 through the season - and impressive feat given 11 of the 2020 premiership side moved on.

It speaks to the club's strong culture off the field, but also the attention to detail and effort on the training track, with Stubberfield a fantastic leader and mentor.
Well done on an awesome season Panthers!
