Numbers lifted to 619 and the quality was mixed at Monday's cattle sale. Feeders were strong on all weights and there were only limited numbers of heavy trade cattle and grown heifers.

The market continues to rise. The few weaner steers sold from 560c to 649c and heifers made from 492c to 576c/kg. Medium weight feeder steers gained 16c and ranged from 506c to 581c, while the heavy weights lifted 8c and sold from 485c to 547c/kg.
The heifers sold from 479c to 540c/kg. The limited numbers of heavy trade cattle lifted up to 30c and steers and heifers ranged from 506c to 536c/kg.
Grown steers were 30c stronger and sold from 430c and drafts of milk and 2 tooths reached 477c/kg. Similar runs to feed sold from 464c to 477c/kg. Bullocks were firm to slightly dearer selling to 415c/kg.
Cows were 6c to 10c/kg dearer after achieving a similar top price. Medium weight score 2 cows sold from 285c to 320c and the heavy score 3 and 4 cows sold to 385c, averaging 374c/kg.
Numbers lifted to 32,150 at Tuesday's lamb and sheep sale and the quality was surprisingly good given the wet weather conditions. The market sold to a dearer trend.
New season trade weights made from $194 to $245 and heavy new season lambs reached $250/head averaging 950c to 980c/kg cwt. Old score 2 processing lambs sold from $176 to $190/head. Medium and heavy trade lambs to 24kg cwt were $10 to $12 dearer, ranging from $177 to $244/head to average 970c/kg cwt.
The 24 to 26kg lambs sold from $4 to $10 dearer depending on export or domestic kill, and ranged from $233 to $264/head or 960c/kg cwt on average. Heavy lambs weighing 26 to 30kg cwt gained $10 ranging from $250 and $283 and extra heavy weights over 30kg cwt reached $341/head.
Merino trades made from $182 to $248 and heavy Merinos reached $280/head. Mutton numbers increased and the quality remains mixed. Medium weight ewes ranged from $132 to $183/head. Heavy crossbred ewes made from $196 to $245. Merinos ranged from $207 to $233/head. Heavy wethers reached $254/head.
