Early market indications suggest we will once again see some very open races, with just two favourites currently sitting under $3.
The TAB App Pace will kick things off for horses with a National Rating of up to 45.
It's one of two 2040 metre distance events for the evening, and Alectown trainer Stan Townsend will be hoping his mare Regretable ($10) will be able to capitalise on after securing the gun draw.
She won her last start in Parkes comfortably, at 2:00.4 and the slight step up in class shouldn't worry the eight-year-old.
The Mat Rue-trained Im A Shy Guy ($4) will be the one to watch from outside of the second row; with both the gelding and Rue in a little purple patch of form.
Perhaps the most intriguing, from a punting and form perspective, race of the evening will be the Telescope Tyres Pace.
There's a host of runners engaged who are in decent form without lighting the world on fire, and a local hope might just be the most intriguing of the lot.
Terryama ($13), trained here in Parkes by Malcolm Hutchings, will be driven by local concession driver William Cassell, and missed by a nose at the Parkes track two weeks ago.
On that occasion Cassell just couldn't quite reel in the talented Camanchi Warrior, and despite the tricky draw on this occasion, the gelding is every chance of scoring his first win for Hutchings since moving up from the Victorian stable of Kerryn Manning.
Cassell will need to be on his A-game though, with every runner a realistic shot of winning.
If Myra Dawn ($4.50) can pinch a good spot from the inside of the second row, she'll be very tough to beat while Rue's Beast Mode, who won his last start in Parkes, will likely receive a fair bit of support from the punters.
In the driving stakes, Bathurst trainer-driver Nathan Turnbull will be looking to increase his lead at the top of the Parkes Mensland Leading Driver standings.
Turnbull has five rides for the evening, and despite not snagging himself any decent draws, all five are absolutely live chances.
Mat Rue will be pushing him all the way though, and has managed to score some better gates.
Gates open at 6.15pm, with the arms folding back on the first race at 6.52pm.
