Mayor of Parkes Shire Cr Ken Keith OAM announced details for an operational plan after the 2020 council elections were put off due to COVID-19.
"As a result of the pandemic, Local Government elections were postponed in 2020 and will now take place on September 4, 2021," he said.
"This impacted Council's Integrated Planning Cycle, which means that the existing councillors remained in office for an additional year; an interim operational plan and budget will be developed for the 2021/22 year and the newly elected council will serve for a reduced term of three years."
The 2021/22 Operational Plan details how the council will continue with the six key themes of the 2016/17-2020/21 delivery program: transport, environment, community, activity, water and economy.
