WHAT'S ON

Award winning drag show coming to Parkes

Direct from Sydney and right after Mardi Gras, comes the best production show and the most fun filled evening you are likely to see all year.

Complete with tour bus, high heels, a trailer full of costumes and wigs just like a scene from Priscilla Queen of the Desert, the Drags to Bitches production show is about to descend on the sleepy little town of Parkes and by all accounts, it just won't be the same afterwards.

Event organiser Jace Pearson is pretty confident it will be a night Parkes won't forget

"They may have the Elvis Festival but honey, Parkes ain't seen nothing like our little show," said Jace earlier this week.

The show comes with a cast of ten including 2 singing queens, drag comedian, 3 showgirls and 4 male dancers in a two hour plus show that has all the glamour and sizzle of a major production show.

With the world's only yodelling Drag Queen LayDee KinMee who locals may know from Australia's Got Talent, there is something in it for everyone.

Winners of two ACE Awards and a MO Award, this show has appeared throughout venues across Australia, as well as appearances in New Zealand, Denmark, Austria and The UK.

Celebrating all that is "Drag" and the "Bitches" who inspire them, you can expect to hear songs from the 70's and 80's, right up until todays top hits, from artists including Shania Twain, Whitney Houston, Sia, Beyonce and Celine Dion, as well as all your favourite iconic drag anthems.

Owner of the Cambridge Hotel, Mathea Usher, is pleased the pub was able to host the amazing show.

"The Cambridge Hotel has booked the show for two nights Friday March 12 and Saturday March 13 so everyone has a chance to see it," said Mathea.

Mathea is also reminding patrons to prepare and plan accordingly ahead of the night.

"With limited capacity due to Covid, those intending to go are encouraged to book beforehand either at the hotel or online via www.trybooking.com/696942.

"Don't just turn up on the night."

In further good news for the 'Cambo,' as it is affectionately known, the hotel is hoping to bring a number of shows to the region in the near future.

"The hotel has partnered with a major booking agency, the biggest in regional NSW and we will be bringing a number of major shows to the area in the next few months so watch out for that," said Mathea.
