Ewan Moody and Jack Milne were picked to represent the Western Zone at the Country Cricket NSW under 14 Championships that will be played in Dubbo later this month.
Last Friday evening Ewan and Jack each received $250 from a trustee of the Foundation, Greg Morrissey OAM, to go towards playing fees, accommodation and travel costs involved with the four day tournament.
The boys gained selection following trials in Forbes, then Dubbo, earlier this year.
The Duncan Macdonald Foundation was set up in 2008 following the passing of the late, great Duncan Macdonald.
Duncan was a huge contributor to both the junior and senior Parkes cricket community as both a player, coach, administrator and mentor.
Duncan's sons Rowan, Daryle and Vaughan would be very pleased to see the continued operation of their father's foundation.
Trustees Michael Greenwood, Greg Duffy, Peter Yelland and Greg Morrissey all agreed that Ewan and Jack would be fantastic recipients of financial assistance from the Foundation.
Jack celebrated receiving assistance by scoring a century two days later - well done Jack!
The next representative games for Parkes in the Lachlan Junior Cricket Competition will take place after Christmas.
