Ellie was a finalist in the inaugural Maptek Women in Resources Technological Innovation Award category, which was won by Larnie Mackay from Moranbah in Queensland.
The awards recognised and celebrated the achievements of women across Australia's resources sector, demonstrating the diverse careers available to women in the sector and highlighting the industry's commitment to attract, train and promote women.
The awards featured 37 inspiring women across six categories, with the winners announced in a virtual ceremony broadcast on YouTube, that was hosted by TV news anchor and journalist, Chris Bath
Earlier this year, Ellie was the joint winner of the Young Achiever of the Year award as part of the NSW Mining Industry and Suppliers Awards.
Northparkes Managing Director Hubert Lehman was very proud of all that Ellie has managed to achieve so far.
"Congratulations on being announced as a finalist Ellie - 2020 has been a big year for you. We are very lucky to have you on our team!"
