I may have the body of a gamer, but my chubby fingers just can't cut it.
Nevertheless I wasn't going to let my many shortcomings stop me from going toe to toe with UFC Featherweight world champion Alex Volkanovski.
After all, when would I ever get an opportunity to beat a world champion at his own sport - albeit in an actual computer game.
The Windang warrior, who features in EA Sports latest UFC 4 computer game, was keen to take me on, so we organised a game.
We had to push back our organised bouts a couple of times because the Champ reckoned the game wasn't loading properly.
I reckon he was stalling so he could get some much needed practice in.
Telling the Champ exactly that when we finally got to play, was my first of many mistakes.
It was no surprise Volkanovski picked to fight as himself.
"It looks pretty good, doesn't it. They nailed my tattoos to be honest," Volkanovski said.
"It's about time I'm on it."
Volkanovski didn't even have to visit EA Sports to get photos taken.
"They took photos of me when I was in Vegas to fight for the title (against Max Holloway). They took all these different photos of me from different angles.
"Looking at how I look in the game, I'm impressed.
"They have incorporated all my moves. They've even got the leg kick spam there as well and the way I celebrate after a win."
I soon found out the hard way that Volkanovski had all his world champion winning moves at his disposal.
See, Korean Zombie, you don't want a piece of that.
- Alex Volkanovski
Even his advice to throw overhand rights didn't help.
Antagonising Volkanovski by choosing to fight as Korean Zombie [Chan Sung Jung] was also a bad move.
"He has been calling me out in the media. He thinks he has what it takes to beat the world champion. I guess we will see," Volkanovski half joked.
"See, Korean Zombie, you don't want a piece of that," Volkanovski roared after having his way with this reporter.
I'd like to think I could do better, but I got a feeling Volkanovski won't go as easy on me next time around.
Thanks for the chance at glory. You are a champion in and out of the UFC cage.
