With restrictions now easing on travel within NSW and school holidays fast approaching, it's time to press play on an adventure to the Parkes region.
While a number of tourism operators are still on the road to re-opening, the popular CSIRO Parkes Radio Telescope and Henry Parkes Centre museums will re-open to the public on Saturday, July 4 - just in time for the school holidays.
Holidaymakers are encouraged to connect with the Parkes Visitor Information Centre on 6862 6000, who can help you to plan you school holiday adventure to the Parkes Shire and provide you with the latest updates for the region.
"With restrictions still in place for intra-state and international travel, you've practically got the whole of NSW to yourselves - so, there's no better time to take the regional road trip you've always dreamed of," Cr Ken Keith OAM, Mayor of Parkes Shire said.
"The Parkes Shire is the perfect destination to reconnect with loved ones and have a memorable and safe regional adventure. Explore the wide-open spaces, iconic attractions, quirky experiences, engaging play areas and the fabulous local eateries and shopping outlets.
