Numbers lifted after the Easter break but quality continues to be mixed. There was a good offering of finished lambs available along with the plainer store types.
Most of the usual buyers were present and competing in a market that was described as cheaper but gained momentum as the sale progressed.
Store type lambs to restockers attracted strong competition with prices making from $120 to $204/head. Trade weight lambs held firm to a couple easier with prices making from $190 to $228/head or 850c to 880c/kg cwt.
Heavy and extra heavy weight lambs lost most of last week's gains, easing $5 to $8/head and more in places. Heavy export lambs sold from $240 to $296/head or 760c to 780c/kg cwt.
Mutton quality was mixed but prices lifted. Restockers were active on the lighter, bigger framed sheep and paid from $150 to $190/head.
Ewes to processors sold from $108 to $266 with wethers receiving from $135 to $280/head.
Note: There was no regular cattle sale on Monday due to the Easter long weekend public holidays.
