Secretary Pat Bailey, who has been part of Parkes Can Assist for more than 24 years, accepted the cheque and thanked the car club for what has become a well received boost to their funds each year.
"We are ever grateful to the car club for their annual donation which helps us support cancer sufferers and their families on a local level," Pat said.
"We assist those in need to a tune of $100,000 per year with funds for such things as medications, chemotherapy, travel and accommodation."
To complement the donation, Can Assist also collected $3075 in gate takings on the day, along with $638 from the car club raffle, taking their entire total received to $11,779.79.

Christine Miskell from the CWCC has been the Show and Shine coordinator for many years and was instrumental in organising the day.
"This donation would not be possible without the generosity of the numerous local businesses who sponsor our show and I'd like to thank them for their continued support," she said.
"As well as our sponsors, the day would not be a success without the hard work of our committee and the workers from our club and of course all our entrants on the day."
With more than 250 people on their books and currently helping about 100 people of mixed ages in need, the Parkes branch of Can Assist will continue to provide the good work and support that they have done for the last 30 years or more.
