Parkes' finest players will battle it out this weekend in the second intertown pool challenge - this time against Cowra.
The invitation to play Cowra came hot on the heels of Parkes thrashing Orange 11-1 in the inaugural challenge late last month.
Parkes captain Joe Van Opynen said this time there will be both A and B grade sides vying for the top spots.
"The format will be the same as last time for A grade," he said.
"There will be 12 players to a side, with each of the 24 players playing seven games against their opponent.
"The best of seven will earn a point for their town team and the first town to reach seven points wins the match.
"The B grade games will be the best of five."
Joe said like Parkes, the Cowra team members play in a weekly pub competition.
"A lot of them are very experienced snooker players," he said.
Joe said Parkes is ready and eager for the challenge.
"We have one change to the team with Craig Mudiman making way for the skilled Jake Hodge who missed the Orange clash due to work commitments," he said.
"Our big gun players are all coming into this match in top form, especially Frank who recently won the singles and mixed doubles shootouts held between those who participate in the local comp.
"Chris is also in great form, coming runner up in the singles shoot out.
"And all the Parkes players are very excited to take on Craig Mudiman who has transferred to Cowra due to his snooker connections."
The action begins at 12pm, this Saturday at the Parkes Hotel.
"Everyone is welcome to come along and cheer the Parkes team on," Joe said.
