The championships begin with Round 1 on Saturday, Sunday will see the second round and Round 3 will be played on Saturday, August 31.
The final 18 holes will be played in conjunction with the Telescope Tyres & Batteries September Monthly Medal on Saturday, September 7.
In A grade reigning Club Champion Mitch McGlashan will start a short-priced favourite for the scratch event but there are some very good golfers ready to pounce should he falter over the four rounds.
Consistency wins major events and several of the chasers have been in brilliant form of late with Aaron Wilkie, Brad Scott, Ken Cobcroft, Robert Hey and Anthony Riach all showing they will not be disgraced, and have shown glimpses of their ability over recent times.
Meanwhile the ever reliable duo of Tim Burke and John Green will also be in the hunt for the duration.
If there was to be a surprise winner from further down the handicap rankings it would no doubt come from either Joe Van Opynen or Riall Harrison, who are both capable of shooting low scores.
In the handicap event some of the consistent performers such as Phil Bishop, Ian Phipps, Brendan Chambers, David Stevenson and the Smith brothers Myles and Blake are firming as the real contenders, with the 'smokies' being the left-handed duo of Ron Hetherington and Michael Smith.
The B grade title is a very open event and like the premier grade there appears many chances.
The major contenders are Rob Cheney, Peter Bristol, Kyle Hutchings, Greg Brown and Wayne "Pup" Parker, with Dub Rogers just searching for a bit of consistency.
Lindsay Elliott has been flying below the radar over the past month or so and Mick Dellaca has been practising in the dark to try and skin the bookies.
In the handicap section the interest rises with Lindsay Elliott again figuring with golfing buddies Robert Norman, Peter Boschman and Rod Kiley prominent, and the maturing Rod Maxwell and returning Phil Smith worth consideration.
The C grade competition, as always, will throw up a turbulent four rounds with many competitors figuring in a division that always throws up a dark horse.
David 'Doc' Harwood will no doubt be in it at the deep end with Trevor Chatman, Gordon Christie, Tony "Scrubba" Evans, Finne Latu and Jarrod 'Croweater' Kemp all strong contenders.
The swoopers in this grade will no doubt come from Warren Blatch, Brent Timmins and Brett Cowling.
The Friday afternoon golfers, Greg Peterson, Tim McCabe, Ron Jackson and Tim Baker look to hold the key to the handicap event, with the other likely contenders being Brent Timmins, Brett Cowling and the veterans consisting Rod Luyt, Ross Smith and Michael Lynch.
The Terry Bros Veterans Division will come down to battle between Robert Hey, Ian Phipps and the ever-consistent Phil Bishop.
The Parkes Golf Club and the events sponsors Terry Bros encourage all golfers who can to participate and wish all those golfers who contest, the best of luck over the four weeks.
