This is the third year that the two schools have hosted the White Ribbon Cup to take a stand against domestic violence.
This year, the event saw the introduction of a girls league tag match, along with a Girls Night Out to complement the Boys Night In program that follows the cup match.
Forbes High School Principal, Safija Bristina said the day was an absolute sensational success.
"The day is about positivity, raising awareness about positive relationships and empowering our young people to be leaders in our society and change the we live," Mrs Bristina said.
This year, Forbes High took out the White Ribbon Cup in the boys match, while Parkes High won the Cup in the girls match, but it's not about who wins, Forbes High School's White Ribbon Ambassador Barry Merritt said.
"It's not about playing a game of rugby league or league tag, but showing what positive relationships should be," Mr Merritt said.
Forbes High School's Pamela McConnell said the event is about bringing the two schools and communities together rather than just winning a game.
The Girls Night Out proved to be quite a success with between 80 to 90 attendants according to Mrs Bristina who said it was another positive forum to allow girls to be strong, smart women of the future.
The Boys Night In was also a success with around 40 students, family members and community members attending.
"The Boys Night In was a great night and included education on domestic violence and what healthy relationships look like," Mr Merritt said.
Mrs Bristina said the Boys Night In and Girls Night Out events were strongly supported by passionate staff who enable the students to be the best that they can be.
"We would like to acknowledge all of the community groups and organisations which supported the White Ribbon Cup," she said.
The White Ribbon Cup will be hosted by Parkes High School next year.
White Ribbon Australia is an organisation dedicated to ending violence against women.
They have a national primary prevention initiative aiming to stop violence before it occurs through education programs in schools, workplaces and the broader community.
