Macquarie threaten to take Parkes' place in the semi finals in both first grade and reserve grade, so the clash between the two in the penultimate round promises to deliver footy at it's most competitive.
In the League Tag, our girls have cemented a place in the preliminary semi, and will most likely finish second to the CYMs side that narrowly defeated them last week, two wins from the remaining games will see Parkes also qualify in the top three for the juniors, however this will include a tough match up with Forbes in the final round.
The reserve grade fixture will see a rejuvenated Parkes side led by Kyle Hando and Adam Richards shoot for a third straight win, buoyed by delivering CYMs only their second loss for the season last week.
Parkes have been more focused and respectful in possession, and will be favoured to leap frog the Raiders having already defeated the Dubbo side once this year.
The first grade side face a tricky Raiders who boasted their best performance of the year against Parkes in a comprehensive win in Dubbo. Since then, Parkes are yet to complete a comprehensive victory.
Good performances against the ladder leading Wellington and CYMs went unrewarded, and in this instance, it is only the result that matters for Parkes.
Victory will give a three point gap to the sixth place Macquarie with one round to go, ensuring a twelfth straight season.
