Parkes hosted Orange at the Parkes Hotel for the inaugural match which saw two teams of twelve battle it out from 11am to 6pm for the top table honours.
Captain Joe Van Opynen said it was an awesome result against a quality team
"Although Parkes won 11-1, the result doesn't truly reflect how close the day actually was, it seemed a lot closer than that," he said.
Joe said the game between Parkes' Tony Marsh and Orange's Andrew Platt was one of the standout games.
"Andrew got out to a 3-1 lead and had a chance to win the match but missed the shot, giving Tony a chance which he took.
"He then held his nerve to level the match up at 3-all before Andrew made a huge error in the final game to hand Tony the match."
Joe said Paul Lewin had a strong win 4-nil win and the last game between Chris Stibbard and Pete Steadman was a close match with Chris winning 4-3.
"Everyone had a great day and all games were played in good sportsmanship," he said.
The competition has gained interest from pool players in other towns including Young, Cowra and Dubbo.
"We've been in talks with Dubbo," Joe said.
"We'll look to play someone in the next few months.
"Orange are very keen to put a day on over there and they want to go halves in a trophy."
