Mark Oliver is Meat Loaf and he was born and raised in Forbes.
He lived in Forbes for 17 years, attending Forbes Primary and Forbes High schools before moving to Canberra after Year 12.
"I left Forbes in 1987 at 17 years old to pursue a footy career in Canberra," said Mark, who now lives in Newcastle in the Hunter Valley.
The lead vocalist began the Meat Loaf Show 12 years ago.
"We did the show for a couple of years - the band got back together a couple of years ago after a chat at a bucks night," he said.
"Of the original band, Andrew Dawson on keyboards and Errol Reeves on drums remain."
It's the first time Mark is bringing the show home.
"I am really looking forward to seeing family and friends, some of whom I haven't seen since school," he said.
"I just hope I don't disappoint anyone."
The Bat Out Of Hell - the Ultimate Meat Loaf Tribute will be at the Parkes Services Club on Saturday, doors open at 7pm and main show at 9pm.
The show takes its audience on an epic rock'n'toll journey of Meat Loaf's greatest hits, featuring up to a 10-piece band that faithfully recreates the full Meat Loaf Concert experience.
"Bat Out Of Hell" is one of the best-selling albums of all time with sales over 50 million.
The album is still selling consistently over 40 years later and the songs are loved by three generations of Meat Loaf fans.
"Bat Out Of Hell II" was also a multi-million-selling album and re-established Meat Loaf as one of the most successful artists of the 20th and 21st centuries.
The Ultimate Meat Loaf Tribute was nominated for an Ace Award, for Best Tribute Show in 2005.
