It was a sombre start to the game with both teams observing a minutes silence for Parkes Boars Junior Luke Wright. The club would like to pass on their thoughts to the Wright family.
Blayney started off with the ball and Parkes was immediately on the defensive.
The Home side continued the attack and had virtually all the possession for the first 20 minutes of the game.
Parkes fought to gain some ground but were trapped in their end.
Against the odds Parkes were able to hit back from deep in defence when Ben McNiven got the ball wide to Toby Baigent who found some space and scored a 70m try.
Again on the attack and finally finding some good field position Sam Davis was dragged down as he chased a kick into the goal zone and was awarded a penalty try.
Late in the first half Ben McNiven got one of his own with a show and go that spilt the defence and Ben made the most of it scoring besides the posts.
Although Parkes had made the most of their chances they went into half time 28-17 down.
The weight of possession and too many penalties took its toll and Parkes could not add to their score in a lopsided second half.
Final Score 60-17.
Best for Parkes were Toby Baigent, Michael Thomas, Josh van der Stock
