Full schedule for the Under 10's
Round 6 of the Lachlan Junior Rugby League competition had Parkes travelling to Condobolin and the Andrew Thomas Building (ATB) U10s had a full schedule this weekend which saw them playing not one, but two games this round.
Game One had the boys at their best.
It was a fantastic display of good defence and great attacking which had the Condo rams at sixes and sevens, having trouble containing the ATB U10s boys.
Superb skills were shown from Joel Whitney, Hudson Maguire, Milo Anderson and Hamish McGrath, with powerful tackling from Leo Monkrude, York Whitdford, Camden Graham and Jett Clarke.
Game two was a slow start for the ATB U10s which had the condo rams take control.
The Andrew Thomas Building boys were looking a little flat and tired from their first game.
Mid way in the game saw Condo up, but some well-chosen words from the coaching staff had the boys firing with the game turning in the second half.
Parkes never looked out of control with some great free running from Byron Tanswell , Tommy Cronin, Xavier Ward and Callum Munday supported by outstanding defence from Jaylin Moran, George Thomas and Aidan O'Keefe.
Under 12's no match for Condobolin
This weekend saw the K and H constructions U12s travel to the heart of the Central West - Condobolin.
The U12s arrived to clear skies and started out strong with a solid run seeing Kaid Ticehurst go over for a try with the conversation unsuccessful.
But a fearless Condo Rams team lead the challenge and the points coming later in the first half by way of sloppy defence and poor ball control from a battered U12s team.
Half time arrived in what seemed like no time at all and the score was 10-4 Condos way.
The second half was much the same as the first and the K and H Constructions U12s slowly started to put together what they'd been practising.
Ball control was better and they started to complete their sets to the finish but unfortunately the Rams kept the pressure on right to the finish taking the win 20 points to 4
A special mention must go out to some tough ball players Tyson (moon boot) Carruthers - the K&H's Reliable No12 for travelling to support and watch his team with a broken foot.
Ryan (mad dog) Cox - K&H's Mr consistent No8 who watched from the sidelines with the injured wrist.
Jack (slippery) Milne - K&H's strong running No10 who played with an injured shoulder and Ryan (workhorse) Whitney - K&H's No11 who suffered an injury in the warm up prior to taking the field.
All the team tried their best on Saturday and were unlucky with the outcome.
A big congratulations and good luck mention must go out to our No13 Lachie Thomas who is travelling with his little buddy Jaylin Moran from U10s to represent Western Region at the State Carnival in Newcastle this week play hard boys!

This week is a new game boys, use this week to refocus.
